What comes next?
We have taken the opportunity to do something rather different
i.e. put on a film show. The idea is to show off what our
senior
partner and advisor has been doing around the world. You can view the
trailer below.
When and where?
We have arranged to show a professionaly produced film called Furious
Love at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Monday 1st March 2010 starting at
7.30 pm. The
idea of the film is to show how God is working in some of the darkest
places on earth. If He can help these people and do things for them He
can help anyone including YOU.
Tickets and prices
Tickets are £5 each (plus £1 postage and packing if you buy them from this site)
They are also available from
Footprints Bookshops
6 Skinnergate Darlington
Please remember that one of the standard conditions that the Town Hall makes for outside events is that tickets cannot be sold at the door.
One of the conditions of showing this film is that people have to pay to see it and then we have to give some of that money to the filmmaker and the distribution company. It is a film that is good enough to be viewed at the local cinema but given the topic it would struggle to persaude them to show it. They would earn something if it was shown at the cinema so it only seems fair that they would earn something from this way of distributing a film.
What else are we working on at the moment?
We know that there are people out there who need help getting rid of hurts habits and hang ups so we want to launch a 12 step self-help program for people in mental distress. If you want to know more sign up to our newsletter to keep in touch with what we are doing. While we waiting for this to come together we are keeping busy preparing materials for the new our publications section.
What do we want to do?
We have two basic aims. Firstly to help people in mental distress and secondly to provide online courses. How can we do this?
- Run events like workshops so that people have the opportunity to learn from people who have been sufferers and have helped others who are suffering. See events and workshops page
- Run a 12 step programme that helps people help themselves support groups. See groups page
- Network with other organisations with similar aims so that we can work together on projects. see networking page
- Develop an online database of projects and activities aimed at people who are in mental distress. See other projects page
- Develop and run online courses.
- Provide the opportunity for others to develop online courses.
